On July 1st, a new law went into effect in California, banning hand-held cellphone use while driving. The issues with this type of ban are many, including the fact that the only way to get to a “hands-free state” is by old-fashioned “hands-on dialing.”

dear virginia, i want my money back

by Liz Newton | Libertarian  |  Comments (11)

Virginia taxpayers are giving the families of the Virginia Tech shooting victims $11 million. As a resident, I mourn for the loss felt by the families of those slain. As a taxpayer in Virginia, I am infuriated.

castro? check. hamas? check. chavez? check.

by Jon Chun | Libertarian  |  Comments (10)

From the other side of the isle, several Republican icons have been encouraging party members to cross over and vote for Hilary to keep the Democratic Party at […]

juristocracy beats democracy in california

by Matthew Smock | Libertarian  |  Comments (11)

In a 4-3 decision, the California Supreme Court put an end to California majorities trying to protect traditional marriage - at least for now.
The decision is an unpopular one, even in my home state of California, a bastion of liberalism. Of course, the decision had to be unpopular because the popular decision was made back […]
