do ugly people have the right to vote?

After Barack Obama’s victory in Oregon Tuesday, the CNN news team offered a startling look at what kind of voters the candidates are receiving. As has been thrown out a time or two before, many hold the belief that Hillary Clinton has supporters who are racist.

Anderson Cooper discussed the issue with a number of experts, including CNN’s senior political analyst, David Gergen. Gergen said 21 percent of respondents in an exit poll in Kentucky said race was a factor, and nine out of 10 of those voters voted for Clinton.

Gergen offered the view that for the good of her campaign, Clinton should denounce voters who vote for her because of race. This is an opinion I happen to agree with.

It’s not like voting is a constitutional right.

There are a lot of unsavory people in this country, and I don’t think they should be able to have an opinion in the political race. Clinton should denounce any of her followers who are racist or sexist. That’s right, she also needs to denounce people who are voting for her because she’s a woman.

For that matter, Obama needs to tell his voters “No thanks” if they are picking him because he’s black and Clinton’s a woman.

For the good of the country, the candidates should also denounce voters who:

Smoke.

Drink.

Have ever caused a traffic accident.

Don’t wear flag pins.

Are ugly.

Have ever served detention.

I’m sure there are more people I don’t care for, and the candidates shouldn’t either, so this list is open for additions. Also, can both of the candidates also please denounce the hippies?

McCain should also make sure to denounce any of those bitter people who cling to their guns or religion.

How about stupid people? I really hate stupid people. And inconsiderate people. Oh, and don’t forget the polygamist people. And fat people. And hicks. Wait…that rules out most of my family from voting.
