republican traitors!

Recently I have heard too many Republicans mention their preference of Obama over McCain. While it is true that McCain’s values aren’t completely conservative in nature, and he may not be as likeable, he is still the most conservative of the front-runners (the lesser of the three evils, if I may). Though I sympathize with their disenchantment (God bless Mitt Romney), it’s no excuse for naivety, or treason, or both.
Obama has charmed many of my fellow Republicans with his ubiquitous promise of change. However, upon closer inspection, the only “change” Obama can bring is “change” for the worse. “The Worse” as in, now is the absolute worst time to pull out of Iraq. Yet on his website, clear as day, you read the following:
“Obama will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq.”
Flirting with the idea of supporting Obama is in a very real way flirting with the notion of turning our backs on the Middle East when we have finally begun to make progress. It means disrespecting the lives of fallen soldiers and tarnishing our military’s reputation - not to mention a host of negative economic consequences. Simply stated, voting for Obama means supporting the policies and ideals of the Democrats. It is saying that you care more about a candidate’s charm than the conservative cause. Was his music video really that good?
This election is no longer a matter of character preference but solely a race of principle. I’m not voting for McCain because of his presidential charm or contagious personality, but because his platform lies farthest from Socialism and the closest to conservatism. I’m not voting for McCain, I’m voting for a particular stance on the war, for the soldiers, for the economy and our nation’s reputation. I’m voting to overturn Roe V. Wade, to maintain my right to bear arms, to keep taxes low and I would encourage all Republicans to do the same.
Just because your candidate is out of the race doesn’t mean that you should settle for the least qualified but most attractive liberal. I was Republican long before McCain and I will remain a Republican long after this election. My party affiliation has nothing to do with people, but rather with principle. So before you cast your vote, ask yourself if you really do want to turn Iraq over to Al-qaeda, nationalize health care, expand government and raise taxes? If the answer is “yes,” then what were you doing in our party to begin with?
In short: McCain in 2008, but more importantly, Romney in 2012.

My Response:
OK sure, vote AGAIN for the lesser of two evils, well my fellow stupid Americans we have a situation where BOTH parties are equally corrupted to the core and again it appears that we have no choices, this two party system sucks. I have been a voting, donating, and a talker upper of the republicans all my life and I am voting for change in a most fundamental way to incite my fellow Republicans to do the right thing and purge the party those who would trash the constitution, export our job, allow tainted goods into the country, allow greedy wall streeters and mortgage lenders to manipulate the markets, allow illegal immigration, allow unsecured boarders and allow themselves to be duped and payed off by special interests. Since when do I as an American citizen be compelled to relinquish my citizenship of the republic to the dictates and laws of the new world order?
VOTE the incumbent bums OUT! To do this one must vote in a way that violates ones senses, if you are LIED to than you have no obligation to your party of choice so give the other party a vote. So whats the difference,… the BUM who is in is now OUT and will now have to stand in the unemployment lines. I am not wasting my vote on some third party guy who will NEVER get elected!
Show me RON P. in 2012 and you might get my vote back!
Till then I am going to use the biggest stick I can find to poke in the REPUBLICANS eye! VOTE Obama!

Mckell, I totally agree with you. However, I have not seen any republicans who are voting for O’bama, though I’ve seen some who just won’t vote (or so they say now). But, even if there are some who will vote for O’bama, then they are not republicans and you should tell them that. O’bama will destroy America for all of the reasons you mentioned… our number one goal right now should be to keep O’bama out of the white house.

Why the apostrophe? He’s not Irish.

haha thanks Sandra…i think I was watching O’reilly at the time.

Dave, go ahead and waste your vote…but dont waste our time by writing a bunch of bitter nonsense. Liars are ones who claim FREE everything from the government…First law of Economics: nothing is free… Perhaps both sides are getting lied to…but you are the only one falling for it. congratulations.
Thanks Nicholas, i’m glad you know of no Republican-Obama supporters…(as if they really could be both :)

Sandra,
You have absolutely no proof that Obama is not Irish. His dad is Kenyan but his mom’s white and she could be from Ireland. Now that I think of it, she could be a member of the IRA - which explains why Obama’s a terrorist. You democrats are total suckers.

I am not a Democrate? Wat’s a democrat? Maybe I’m a Repubicrat….Is not Cheney related to Obama?…and if so Then McCain must be related to Bush…. I not bitter just sweet…
Free trade for-ever….when you see fokes ur trading with bring beads, blankets and beer…you know is time to hang up the keys of the BMW…………

So….here I am ….again.(oh no not another rant)… YEP..in my first response to the “republican traitors!”….I get rebuttals that clearly avoid the real issues of politics,,,are my fellow Americans that stupid–I am sorry to waste ur time by writing a bunch of bitter nonsense-..HOWEVER…to think that the opposite party is a depraved group of traitors who will destroy the country is stupid,….if your party is high-jacked and your leaders no longer hold true to the course set by our founding fathers, …what are we to do?,,, We are NOT to ever to change parties?…did not some of our of politicians in the passed change parties?…My allegiance is to the republic and the constitution for this is the glue that holds this country together!….NOT SOME GROUP OF THUGS WHO WANT TOTAL CONTROL OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER or THE NEW GLOBAL VILLAGE…. it is obvious that BOTH parties have been polarized by the special interest groups…
SO…my plan is simple VOTE THE INCUMBENT BUMS OUT..this is a two party system (none of the other parties will ever have an electable runner).VOTE FOR THE OPPOSING PARTY…Electing a new batch of bums will keep them off balance….(;>)
August 3rd, 2008 at 1:31 pm
so your allegiance is to the republic and the constitution and youre voting for more government intervention and regulation? weird…
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:03 pm
What’s so weird about throwing Bush and his supporters out of office? So……….U think his doing a good job…and I do NOT.
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:24 pm
So Nicholas,,,, your allegiance must be totally with the Republican party no matter who is in control of it?….So do you always do as your masters tell you to?
August 4th, 2008 at 1:04 am
Yes, dave, i will always be with the republican candidate. I dont vote the candidate, i vote the policy. Even though I dont agree with McCain 100%, I agree with him a lot more than Obama.
I dont understand the “master” part. We live in a democracy.
August 4th, 2008 at 10:58 am
OK the “master” part was an exaggeration,,,,I really should have said…our current el prez-ent-dento and supporters….
so under the flag of policy you support the party….no matter if the execution of that policy is distorted by your current party leaders….I understand that Germany was a democracy in the 1930’s….mmmmm…wonder if some Gremans voted for policy….and it kinda turned out wrong…
Like I said I my vote is a vote against McCain’s/Bush policy not for Obama…..did I mention I like Paul P.
August 4th, 2008 at 11:29 am
Dave, what is the mccain/bush policy? You are contradicting yourself. McCain is known to be a maverick, which angers conservatives. That would make him very different than Bush. By moving McCain closer to bush, you are saying he is conservative. Bush is certainly not a maverick. Make up your mind and then i will respond accordingly.
August 4th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
Well…since I don’t vote based on policy…just principal..U got me with your cold logic….say would it not be better if the Dems are in control when the economy collapses…that way the GOP could come in and………..save U$ all… did I say I would vote for Ron Paul……….Jones?
