cal thomas: a little discrimination

Recently, Cal Thomas, the most syndicated editorial columnist in America, wrote a column about how gay marriage is a sin. In said column he stated, “Some forms of discrimination are good, because they send a signal and provide an example that certain behavior is to be preferred over other behaviors for the betterment of society.”
I couldn’t agree more. If we aren’t allowed to discriminate against gay people, how would anyone know what was normal? If these gay people want to act all fruity, they are more then welcome to, but how am I supposed explain to my kids the right way to act when you got these people running around?
Unfortunately, it can be hard sometimes to tell gay people by just seeing them walk down the street. I propose we come up with a patch of some sort that gay people have to wear, maybe a rainbow-colored star or something that they can pin their coat. That way, we would know exactly who to keep our children away from.
That might work for a start, but if we let these people roam around too long, eventually our children are going to come in contact with one and possibly be poisoned. If this gay problem continues much longer, we might have to go a little further. Now, I don’t want to advocate anything rash, but maybe we could just give gay people their own little area to live in so that they wouldn’t ruin the fabric of our society. We could just concentrate them all into one little place - it would be like a camp. We could call them “camps where we concentrate the population of gays,” or something like that - we might have to shorten it a little.
Of course, there are a lot of gays in the world right now and it might be difficult to do this all at once. I was thinking we could start on a small scale here in Winona. Winona is made up of a lot of Polish people, so maybe we should start there. We’ll round up all the Polish gays and then the Dutch gays and so on and so forth.
Now I know what you’re thinking. You’re saying this sounds familiar; didn’t they do something like this in Germany awhile back. This is different. You see, Hitler was crazy when he did this stuff. He used crazy religious beliefs and Bible passages to convince a nation that God didn’t like the Jews, even though they weren’t hurting anyone.
This time, it will be different. We understand the Bible and we know exactly what God wants. Nobody could ever misinterpret the Bible in this day and age. Besides, a little discrimination is a good thing, right?
